One of Fundación Peruanos Power core objectives is to promote literacy and reading comprehension among school-age children and teenagers, in order to contribute to shape them into more informed, competitive citizens, capable of contributing at their highest potential to their communities, and to participate competitively in Peru´s economic and human development.
In order to achieve this, Fundación Peruanos Power works hand-in-hand with Ediciones Pichoncito, a publisher that belongs to the same business group and that has a portfolio of over 50 titles for children and 5 international awards for the quality of its books. The partnership has channeled the donation of 10,000 books to numerous organizations such as the public schools that participate in the Junín Net program, the school network Fe y Alegria, and the shelter network SOS Children´s Villages, among many others.
Similarly, the Art Museum of Lima – MALI, Ediciones Pichoncito and Fundación Peruanos Power collaborate every year to co-organize the Flying Books Festival, a yearly literacy festival that has already been held on four consecutive years.
